Wilmington Friends Service Committee
The Wilmington Friends Service Committee is a committee of the Wilmington Friends Meeting which raises funds for humanitarian purposes. Its primary source of funds is the annual Fall Festival held at the Meeting House.
In October 2006, the Festival raised more than $8,000 to benefit community service projects in the Wilmington area and well beyond. Recipients of WFSC grants in the past include the American Friends Service Committee, Contact Delaware Rape Crisis Program, Delaware Hospice, Delaware United to Prevent Child Abuse, Ministry of Caring, Sunday Breakfast Mission, Needy Family Fund, Pacem in Terris, and the Salvation Army.
